In 2006 IOU Artistic Director David Wheeler spent three months in Antarctica as part of an Arts Council England and British Antarctic Survey supported residency in Antarctica. The result was a photographic and sculptural response to this extraordinary environment. Half Moon represents a three dimensional response to David's time in this frozen landscape with water, ice, compressed air, video projection and rusting fridges combining in an exploration of natural phenomena.

Alongside Half Moon, Antarctic Travelogue presents long-sequence video taken with five linked cameras, together with three-metre wide panoramic photographic prints, made while in Antarctica.
