A large site specific show for the Dean Clough Mill complex in Halifax as part of the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival. Plagued by an infectious collection of characters, our hapless patient encounters unorthodox curative devices, unearthly hospital routines and angelic hallucinations, on a perilous road to a rude awakening. Through a delirious soundscape of music and song, together with an elaborate collection of mechanical apparatus and alarming concoctions, we enter an unfathomable system that mirrors the uncertainties of illnesses and cures. Cure explores the curious territory between sickness and health, where mental and physical battles are fought. The audience moved between different locations in the Dean Clough complex. A darkly humorous look at life on the edge.
