Join Stacey Johnstone from Six Lips Theatre Company - an independent physical theatre company - for a workshop on rehearsed reading performance with skills and techniques to present new writing to a live audience.

Six Lips Theatre will present a short rehearsed reading of their new piece ‘Sans Titre: Iris Black’ (funded by East Riding Council) as part of a series of sharing’s including performances at The Greenwich Theatre, London and Theatre Delicatessen, Sheffield as they develop the play for touring in 2018.

Alongside the sharing, Six Lips Theatre will facilitate a workshop on how to present a rehearsed reading, including the pitfalls and techniques that can help anyone get their new writing out in front of the public without having to stage a full scale performance.

IOU is a registered charity and relies on the support of funders, trusts and individuals to help us continue creating unpredictable art and to support artist development. Our Making It skill sharing programme is free but we do suggest a donation of £3 payable on the night. Light refreshments are provided.
