As 2020 draws to a close, IOU presents an extra special Making It Online to celebrate the kaleidoscopic time of commercial pressure, spiritual contemplation and tasteless fun that is Christmas. As ever, IOU hope that this year’s Christmas Making It sits securely under the tasteless fun heading.
Christmas Crackers are the target for a bit of reinvention this year. Their first appearance was in the mid 1800’s devised by sweet-maker Tom Smith. No disrespect to Tom, but the standard supermarket cracker has lost some of the novelty it must have had in his day, so this year is just the time to do something different.
The price of the ticket includes an exclusive Making It pack, which contains everything you need to create your own Alternative Christmas Cracker. You’ll be able to crack open the contents of this cracker with friends and family after-dinner, either in person or via a Skype or Zoom get together.
As an added incentive to unleash your imagination, we’ve put together a fabulous IOU Christmas Hamper for all your Christmas needs, for one lucky winner, which contains:
A bottle of Prosecco, a box of chocolate liqueurs, stilton, port wine, a pair of Snipe nose pliers, lightly salted Kettle Chips, a nearly full roll of Gaffer Tape, dry roasted peanuts, a ratchet screwdriver (needs slight attention), a jar of olives, a piece of aluminium, a ukulele, a drill bit (5mm), a bottle of vitamin D tablets, Supa Glue (opened), a bottle of hand sanitiser, cream crackers, some nails and a glove.
Please note - Ticket sales open today, and will close at 5pm on Wednesday 25th November, this allows IOU’s elves time to send out the Making It gift packs to all participants.
