Learn how to fundraise and bid write to support your artDo you have a fantastic idea for a creative project that needs funding? Perhaps you find the funding process a bit overwhelming (you are not alone!). In this online workshop, IOU Producer Jonathan McGrath demonstrates how you can develop strategies and use the correct language to fundraise for creative projects.
This two hour workshop is for anyone who wants to get money to make art. IOU’s Making It Online is a programme of informal and participatory workshop sessions delivered online. Led by leaders in the field, they are suitable for all abilities with no experience required. Each workshop is an opportunity for creatives to learn new skills and try out different creative techniques in a relaxed setting.
IOU’s Producer, Jonathan McGrath, has written a lot of funding applications! He has seen the funding process from different perspectives over the past twenty years. Both as an artist seeking funds to make his own work and working as a Relationship Manager at Arts Council England, where he read other people’s funding applications all day long. In his own artistic practice Jonathan has presented theatre events all over the world. He is an associate lecturer at several universities across the UK and supports many emerging theatre-makers in strategies for creating new performance work.
